Book Reviews
Each of you are to post a 500 - 750 word book review on a novel of your choice. (Honors: 300 pages; Regular: 250 pages) Not all pages are equal -- see me in advance if you wish to read a shorter novel, particularly if it has literary miret.
A book review is not a book report!!! Book reports summarize the book and give away the details. Book reviews "give readers a sneak peek at what a book is like, whether or not the reviewer enjoyed it, and details on purchasing the book."
The following must be included somewhere in your review: author, title of book, genre, brief summary, at least one quote (with correct punctuation and citation), evaluation, publisher and price. It is very important that you read the thorough explanation at the following link from the OWL at Purdue.
Reviews must be posted no later than January 7 & 8, 2013. This is the DAY you return from winter break. I suggest you post earlier. In addition, you must comment on two people's postings. You can add your input on the book (if you read it), or comment on anything of interest (not personal) in the post.
